Chihuly Glass and Garden | Seattle, WA
Peter provided civil engineering services for the redevelopment of the 2.4 acre Seattle Center Fun Forest site. Civil Scope included preparation of site Demolition and Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans, Paving and Grading Plans, and Storm Drainage and Utility Plans and project specifications. The project was LEED certified, and included green roofs to help lower site runoff and help meet the City’s Green Stormwater Infrastructure Requirements.
As part of the design, a Seattle Public Utilities owned Watermain had to be reconstructed with a steel sleeve for ease of future maintenance where the new glasshouse addition connects to the existing renovated Fun Forest building. Close coordination with SPU allowed the project to be built on schedule.
